Measles isn't just a little rash.  Measles can be dangerous, especially for babies and young children.  The measles virus spreads VERY EASILY from person to person.  In fact, it can stay in the air for up to 2 hours after a sick person coughs or sneezes.  Did you know that!?  Fortunately, measles is preventable.  Call your doctor to make sure you and your family have been immunized against measles.

It's that time of the year again to get your flu vaccine!  Check out the IMMUNIZATIONS / FLU tab to the left for schedules and other important information.

Radon, a naturally occurring, odorless, radioactive gas that causes lung cancer is found in 5-10% of the homes in Wisconsin above the US EPA guideline of 4 pCi/L. Certain locations in Clark County are at a higher risk than others. Radon can be controlled in any house, and the only way to know the radon level in a house is to measure it yourself or hire a contractor to test for it.

The Health Department sells do-it-yourself test kits at a low cost. Stop in or call us at 715.743.5105 to request a kit or to ask questions.

Be safe. Be healthy.
