For Immediate Release January 15th, 2018:  Effective immediately, all ATV trails opened earlier this season located on the Clark County Forest are closed. The recent snowfall has given us enough snow to begin to prepare the base properly for the remainder of the winter riding season. Snowmobile trails in the remainder of the county will also remain closed at this time. Area clubs are out prepping and grooming snow where amounts allow. An update will be provided on all potential trail openings as soon as possible. Please note that UTV's are not allowed on the Clark County ATV Trail system during the winter months (November 1 - May 14).

AboutSnowmobile Rider

Clark County offers more than 370 miles of well-groomed snowmobile trails. The trails meander through the nearly 135,000 acre County Forest, as well as the many wood-lots and rolling farmlands. Private and public lands provide the links to several communities as you traverse through the trail system. Clark County snowmobile trails serve as a major link to the state corridor network and adjoining counties. Please be aware that while some of the snowmobile trails allow for winter ATV use, UTV's are not allowed on the trail system during the winter.

Access Points
Convenient trail access points are located throughout Clark County. Corridor and connector trails provide you with endless opportunities to include our exceptional snowmobile trails in your winter plans.

Safety First

Clark County urges everyone to abide by State and County Regulations. Snowmobile travel is only allowed on the designated trails and routes that are OPEN. Please respect the landowner's property. Without landowner's permission the trail system would not be possible.
