Clark County Subdivision Ordinance
Approved Clark County Subdivision Ordinance
- Effective May 4, 2009
The Clark
County Board of Supervisors gave final approval to the revised Clark County
Subdivision Ordinance on
March 31, 2009. The revised ordinance will become effective on May 4, 2009.
The ordinance
has several significant changes that include:
- All newly created
parcels of 10 acres or less must be surveyed.
- A Minor Subdivision is
one to four lots of 10 acres or less, and must be created by
Certified Survey Map (CSM).
- The CSM must be
reviewed and approved by the Clark County Planning and
Zoning Department prior to recording by the County Register of Deeds.
- A Subdivision is five
lots or more of 10 acres or less, and must be created by Plat.
- Newly created lots must
be 1 acre or more in size.
The Clark
County Planning and Zoning Committee met on April 9, 2009 and adopted a
revised fee schedule for the review of a CSM or a subdivision plat. The new
review fees are:
- Certified Survey
Map........................................$50 for 1-Lot CSM plus $10 for each additional lot
- Subdivision Plat –
Consultation on Sketch...........$25
- Subdivision Plat –
Preliminary Plat.....................$250 plus $10 per lot
- Subdivision Plat –
Final
Plat..............................$100
A Certified
Survey Map shall be submitted to the Clark County Planning and Zoning
Department for review and approval
prior to presenting to the Clark County Register of Deeds for recording. The
Plat review process will remain the
same; each stage of the plat development – sketch, preliminary plat, and final
plat – requires submittal to the
Clark County Planning and Zoning Committee for review and approval.
