Mission Statement: To keep the courthouse building maintained as well as possible.

The responsibility of the Maintenance Department is to oversee and maintain the building and grounds of the Clark County Courthouse and Law Enforcement area.

This includes the daily cleaning of all offices, such as emptying wastebaskets, mopping and waxing floors, and cleaning windows. The department also does vacuuming of the carpeted areas.

We make sure that the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment is kept operating properly.

We also take care of the plumbing, electrical, and security equipment to make sure it is repaired and operating properly.

The lawn mowing, yard work, and snow removal is also taken care of by this department.

The building is approximately 140,000 sq. ft. including the jail.

We maintain about 3 1/2 city blocks as for parking lots, lawn mowing, and yard work.
