GENERAL INFORMATION

The Clark County Forestry and Parks Department welcomes you to enjoy our parks facilities. Our goal is to make your stay here pleasant and memorable. To this end, county ordinances and park policies have been established to promote health, safety, and the general welfare of the visitor and to protect and safeguard county recreation facilities and resources.

REGULATIONS

  1. Only one family or camping party shall occupy a single campsite unless approved by the park attendant.
  2. No camping unit shall be set up beyond the limits of the campsite.
  3. All camping parties must obtain a camping permit and pay the established fee before setting up the camping unit. The camping leader who reserves a campsite must be at least 18 years of age.
  4. Unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, all juvenile persons occupying a campsite shall have in their possession a statement of consent signed by a parent or legal guardian.
  5. A camping party may not move from its assigned campsite to another campsite without prior approval by the park attendant.
  6. Camping permits expire at 3:00 p.m. on the last day of the permit period. (Check out time)
  7. Camping permit extensions must be obtained prior to 10:00 a.m. on the expiration date of the permit. Extensions are not guaranteed since the campsite may be reserved by a second camping party.
  8. Limit of two motor vehicles per campsite shall not be parked beyond the limits of the campsite.
  9. It is unlawful to be in any county park or campground after 11:00 p.m. or contrary to other posted notice, except for registered campers and people transporting watercraft to and from designated boat landings.
  10. Pets are not permitted on beaches, picnic area, children's playground or in public buildings: Dogs must be under immediate control on a leash not exceeding 8 feet in length.
  11. Lewd, vulgar, boisterous, unnecessarily loud behavior, disorderly conduct, littering, unauthorized selling or destructive acts and tampering with park property are strictly prohibited.
  12. No refunds shall be given on camping permits.
  13. Only one picnic table per campsite.
  14. No picnicking in areas designated as campgrounds.
  15. All campers must set up a camping unit. Sleeping in cars or on the ground in the open is not permitted.
  16. Firewood gathering is limited to dead and downed wood only. No limbs, branches, or bark may be taken from standing trees and no firewood may be removed from another campsite whether occupied or not.
  17. Fireworks are strictly prohibited.
  18. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  19. Upon your departure all litter must be removed and deposited in the appropriate receptacles.
  20. Violation of any state law, or county ordinance, or any rules of the Clark County Forest and Parks Committee by any member of a camping party is cause for revocation of the camping permit.
